The official K53 learners licence test consists of 68 questions: 28 on Rules of the Road, 28 on Road Signs, and 12 on Vehicle Controls. You must answer at least 22 questions correctly in each section to pass.

You are given 58 minutes (3 480 seconds) to answer all 68 questions on the K53 learners licence test. This works out to roughly 51 seconds per question.

What is the pass mark for the K53 learners test?

To pass the K53 learners licence test you must score at least 22 out of 28 in the Rules of the Road section, 22 out of 28 in the Road Signs section, and 10 out of 12 in the Vehicle Controls section. Failing any single section means you fail the entire test.
